Default G64.42 ???

Anyone have any info about G64.42 993 twin turbo AWD version for Taiwan only? I have a '96 Taiwan model 993tt and believe this is the transmission in my car. I would like to know what is the difference between G64.42 and G64.51.

This is a mysterious gearbox. While Porsche lists it as a Taiwan market gearbox, there is absolutely no reference made to it anywhere in the parts database.

A 10 year old thread, but I came across it and wanted to point out that the G64.42 designation in PET is a mistake and the right code is G64.52. This type of gearbox was only offered for 1998 model year 993 Turbo for Taiwanese market. While the regular G64.51 has a 31:9 ring and pinion, the rare 1998 Taiwanese version has 32:11 which means it might get smaller emission values in a test as it is running at lower rpm, but the acceleration must also suffer here.

Quick Reply: G64.42 ???
