Default Trip Computer Display LED's

Anyone know the fix for dark display in the trip computer display in the tach??

In daylight, you can read it, and it all works, but the back-lights seem to be out......not for the tach dial, just for the trip/boost display.

Anyone got a spare tach??

Thanks a lot.

There are some little bulbs in there that you can replace. I had some LCD segments gone too, so I had Palo Alto Speedometer do it. You don't want to replace the whole tach assy., over $1200!

Just had my Tach overhauled by an instrument shop in town. It was $295, seems the way to go. Mine was staying dimly lit even with the key off. I have been using the Porsche battery tender. Anyone ever have electrical problems caused by using one?

Default Computer Display LEDs

The display lights for my computer display went out recently as well on my 96 993tt. My local repair shop was able to repair / replace them for $130. Apparently it requires some disassembly of the tachometer since the bulbs are several layers down.
