Default Buying decision.. need help

Finally!
I sold my 993 C4 and after long research I found three different Porsches to replace the old one. They are all Porsche 993 TT. My questions is simple, which one should I choose?!

Car nr.1 : $75k (One year warranty)

Shiffermetallic -95, 46500 miles
No fancy extras

Car nr.2 : $80k (One year warranty)

Diamondblack -98, 23000 miles
Factory upgrade to 450hp (K24s)
Becker GPS navigation
Otherwise standard

Car nr.3 : $87k

Black -97, 20000 miles
Carbon interior
Cargraphics cool-brake kit
Cargraphics 100cell race cat.
Gemballa Wheels (Sweet as h*ll)
K24 Turbos
K&N Air Filter
Bilsteins
Sunroof Delete
and some other stuff.
Claimed to give about 500hp

A couple of things
- think all three cars will be great fun.
- I'll probably change wheels on car nr 1 or 2.
- I'm a bit worried about car nr.3. It's owned by a well-known race driver, and it's maintained as it should. However I'm not sure if the car is "burnt" or if the modifications will kill value.
- I will do a PPI!
- Price is always an issue.
- The prices are normal for those cars overhere.

Would really appreciate suggestions and comments!

Best Regards

I voted car three, mostly because of the sunroof delete. Actually many reasons, but I thought the s/d was cool. Wheels are nice as well, but one can put wheels on any car.

In the end, you should choose the car that 'gets you'.. Condition is #1 priority!

DJF1..
Looking at your garage-resume, I'm not suprised with your answer...
However, I also found a 993 RS original for $67k. I'd guess that would be your preference....

All three cars seems to be in excellent condition, and have full documentation.
Sunroof delete, doesn't turn me on however...

I went with #2 ... I would imagine it to have the best residuals of the three.

I'd go with car #2. JD, I'm not convinced that the dark spots are oil that came from the car. There are dark spots well ahead of the engine area.

Get the one that suited your budget the best. They are all good looking cars and you will have fun regardless which one you pick. Good luck!

I voted #2, but honestly between 2 and 3 I think you pays your money - the warranty might be nice but, depending on the racing driver PO that may add value in future. I don't care much for the wheels on #3 and that swayed me.

Thumbs up

I picked #3, do the PPI and see how she checks out, if its all good.. go for it!

"Gemballa Wheels (Sweet as h*ll)" ... I completely agree ,

Plus I'm partial to black cars, I agree the oil on #2 dosnt match with where the car is parked, but you dont know if it was recently re-parked in the general area. It looks like fresh oil to me and if its near a parked Porsche at all you should take a personal look into it. Just my .02

I have now found the wheels I want, I know they must be some of the most expensive out there.. looks like the slope is getting steep!

Good luck with the car you choose,

Rassel,
I assume that you have checked out all the cars, I`ve checked out the
first and the second one, let me know if you want any feedback, also
there´s one at the Lamborghini/Bentley dealer (Strandvägen 08-6610751)
(-98, black/black, 450 factory kit, sunroof, no sportseats, 20000 miles)
If you already didn´t know about that one that is!
Good luck!

1. Consider your budget (if budget is tight, then presence of warranty is good)
2. Consider the results of PPI's
3. What's your intended use? If lots of track time, then #3 has some good upgrades in the suspension, braking, and power areas. I'm also crazy about those wheels and considering them myself, but you can buy the same and put them on 1 or 2 with the "savings" from a lower purchase price.
4. How important is cabin ambience/quality/feel? Carbon fiber and aluminum are really nice touches, and a sun roof is pleasant for everyday driving (others like the headroom and increased stiffness w/o a sunroof).
5. I'd probably pick #2, because it has the sunroof you appear to want, is black, and has a factory power upgrade (presumably with aux. oil cooler). With this car, you can decide if that power level is right for you, otherwise 500 hp right off the bat with #3 is somewhat of a challenge, or fun, depending upon your desires and skills.

Great choices. Good luck.

I have to say again that I looooove the wheels on #3. Are they 18" or 19"? What widths? I may be replacing my set of Gemballa's and have my eye on those. Any more pics of 3?

I'd go for no2. It has the factory 450bhp upgrade and unmolested. Surely 450 is enough!???? But I, with my really biased opinion, would seriously consider the RS.
