Default Some Hoosier info for those interested.

Hoosier has discontinued the R3S03 series and updated to the R3S04.

The major change was going from fiberglass belts to steel belts. The result of the change will be more durability and better turn in.

I'm sure you guys know this, but I will say it anyway.

If you have S03's on the rears, but need two new fronts, you can mix and match.

If you for example have a flatspotted S03 on the left front, but the right front is ok. You cannot put on a new front using an S04. Same goes for the rears.

Just an FYI.

Mike:

I have heard so much conflicting statements on this. First Hoosier said yes, then no. I was a vegas and cal speedway with differing fronts and rears with no problems.

It is akin to different brake pads in the f/r, IMO. With the tires, adjusting the susp may be necessary (tightening the front for me a bit) to balance it out.
