Default Novice Needs Help

Folks,

I am considering buying a used 1996 Turbo. I have owned regular 911's but never a turbo car. Can you please provide advice on what to look for or who to turn to for help. The car is in southern California in the area north of LA. Is there a reputable shop that could evaluate the car for me? First, I would appreciate any suggestions for a possible list of questions for the seller to answer.

b) rennlist archives

You could literally spend months reseaching in the archives here.

The car is silver with red interior and the current owner is the second owner. His name is James. The car has considerable mileage -- about 70k. I have only seen e-mailed pictures but it does appear to have been well cared for. Does this car sound familiar? Thanks.

Mario I have not seen that one. I was worried it was
a silver on grey with 15K miles at Beverly hills
I know that car and was gonna give you the low down.
Good luck

Mario,

Where abouts are you? I live about 30 miles away from Magic Mountain. If you get serious about this car, and need some independent eyeballs to look it over (NOT a substitute for a PPI by anymeans), I may be able to swing by there this weekend. A couple of warnings: 1), it may be raining this weekend, which will render my eyeball less useful, and 2). I own a 61,000+ mile 96 TT, but am far from an expert. Email me directly at ca993twin@yahoo.com if you want any help.
