Default just got BFG-force TA-Kd press. quest.

I just installed a set of new BFG-force TA-Kds. I would appreciate any suggestions for optimum tire pressure for street use from any other BFG users.

Thanks,

Lance

Lance,

What size tires on what size wheels? The KD are supposed to be a great dry traction tire. Once you get the tire presuure sorted out, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Steve,

Stock rims and tire sizes, 225/40-18f 285/30-18r. I am at 35/39 pressure.

These replaced the old originals with 10,700 miles. Obviously any new high quality new tire feels dramatically better than the old hardened rubbers.

Just did a relatively mild drive last night and the tires felt great! I have to be careful here in Yakima as our roads still have a lot of gravel on the shoulders and centerlines from winter traction aides. (I hate gravel).

Looking forward to clean roads and the opportunity to drive more 'assertively' again.

Optimal pressures are always a matter of personal preferences. On my AWD 993, I was happy with 32/35 with P-Zero Asimmetrico's with minimal understeer. Now, I am running 29/35 on my RWD GT3 with no understeer.

I've never used the KDs (kinda pricey for my Cobra), but when I was tracking that car, the KDs seemed to be the hot ticket for dry traction. In my lower-budget realm, the Yoko AVS Intermediates were incredible, but alas, they are discontinued. I'd like to hear a report from a Porsche driver (yes, even on a *lowly* 996c2* ) on performance and wear. I'm a long way from needing tires, but I like to keep my ears open for ideas.

Quick Reply: just got BFG-force TA-Kd press. quest.
