Do you know who makes the big red TT calipers?
I just noticed it today while my car was on the lift, the calipers are Brembo. Do they provide the stock big red tt calipers new from the factory as OE?
Was quite suprised, figure Porsche would be manufacturing their own brake equipment.

Hi:
Brembo has made all the big brakes (4-piston) for their production cars since 1978 including the Big Reds and subsequent 4 and 6 piston calipers.
Most Factory Porsche race cars use one of the various Brembo race calipers as well.

I heard that they will stop making the big reds shortly. The die's for the calipers are starting to reach their end-of-life and brembo will not re-tool for these. Any one else hear the same?

That is true,......all of those brakes have already been made and are in the pipeline.
A newer improved (stiffer-lighter) version is in production and I believe them to be monoblocks.
We'll have 'em,.....
