Default Thoughts on this Speed Yellow '97 Turbo

Found a '97 nicely specced Speed Yellow Turbo for sale by a local dealer. Literally my dream spec 993 Turbo down to every option. That fact alone makes me want to go take a look at it this week. I believe the price is a bit too much but you guys can give me your opinions.

Looks like a great example in a rare color with some rare options. Being low mileage comes with some tradeoffs so make sure you get a good PPI. Price is high but if it's exactly what you're looking for.......

Yeah. Speed Yellow Turbos 993s are hard to find, let alone a Turbo or a C2S or C4S. In the times that I have seen them for sale in the past they have asked big money for them.

Well, with rare cars I have seen this to be the case. There's no others for sale at the moment so I can't compare prices right now.

Don't forget in Canada by default we are taxed with a premium. But this premium is quite excessive. Here is a comparison in Vancouver but double the mileage @ $100K less, so don't feel a SY is like super rare. If your talking about Riv, Mexico or Turquoise blue then we are talking rare.

This one is a fair price tbh. And also the mileage you expect from the average 993 that has been driven. I also like how on that one the calipers are painted yellow(nice touch).

Differences are with Vancouver car:

No white dial
Non tech equipment shifter and hand brake
No heated seats
Higher kms

Is that worth a CAD$100K?

Some of these items if im not mistaken are cheap to obtain( for instance the dial). I've heard that the tech equipment shifter and e-brake handle are somewhat hard to find on the second hand market right?

Wow! Both with hardback sport seats!

Let's see...

1997 Speed Yellow Turbo
30,658 km = 19,049 miles
$299,900 CAD ~ $222,570 USD

1996 Speed Yellow Turbo
70,488km = 45,042 miles
$199,888 CAD ~ $148,392 USD

The prices don't look as ridiculous as I thought when I saw this thread yesterday..

A little update: found a '96 in similar spec in the states. This one I would say is a fair price as well.
