I just saw the Ford GT commercial that will be aired during the Superbowl. I'm being seriously seduced by the car being flogged around my home track(Thunderhill) and need help in staying in my TT.
I've always loved the original Ford GT40, and I'm sure the new Ford GT will arouse me also. Luckily, they will be largely unobtainable at anything like the sticker price, so I won't be tempted. Actually, even at sticker, they're out of my range.
I was interested in it until I saw that little tiny belt driving the oil pump. I know it sounds weird, but every time I see a picture of one I cringe at the thought of loosing an engine because that skinny afterthought of an oil pump belt breaks.
I had a Lightning. They went through intercoolers almost 100% per truck. I don't remember the details, but Ford had set aside some ungodly amount of money to deal with Lightning warranty costs. It was worth it to them for the spin off sales of regular F150s.
Makes me wonder what they are willing to eat to draw a crowd in at the dealerships...
i know of 2 available but way over window, if anyone is serious.
Ford doesnt need a Pace car, it needs a pace maker. assuming the thing will be poorly built is a good start, the interior sure is up to Mustang cheapness
