Odometer Malfunction

On my '96 Twin Turbo, the odometer within the speedometer has stopped working. On the digital computer display in the tachometer, both the miles travelled and the miles to empty are working fine. The speedometer itself is working fine as well. The car has just over 45000 miles.

I have checked the 993 and 993TT threads and could not find anything specific on this issue. Any advise on what to look for would be appreciated.

Send the unit to Palo Alto Speedometer and they'll make it right.

Hey Fred -
He's right. All the VDO speedo units eventually wear out the worm-type drive for the odo. A competent repair shop should have no sweat doing it.
