My friend is looking for an exhaust for his 97 993 turbo. He doesn't want anything too loud but something that is light and makes some power. He was looking at fabspeed but doesn't know where else to look.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks

You could check out the RSR's for TT cars... Personally, I'm getting the muffler bypasses, but that'll probably be too loud for your friend.

Jeff, I am with you on the muffler by-passes being the way to go. With anything else, the cars are too quiet.

I tried the RSR mufflers on my TT which has the FVD cat bypass setup. I was very disappointed and removed them on the same day they were installed. The RSR mufflers made my car sound like achevy with a hole in the muffler.

I have the AWE exhaust and it is a weight saver and sounds better to me. It is more in the NA 993 motor sound category. If you want to hear it let me know. Send me a PM and maybe we can get together. My car will be a Dougerty Automotive in West Chester on 01-28-04 for a Porsche get together. I don't want to speak for the guys at AWE or Dougerty's but it is some time in the evening.

The 993 NA owners all seem to like the RSR muffler, but I haven't hear any 993TT owners who like it. Do any TT owners like their RSR mufflers?
