OEM or aftermarket???
I would hesitate to replace worn OEM shocks with new OEM shocks.

Just keep in mind that it costs about $1000 for the labor to change the shocks, realignment, corner balance, etc. And that is on top of whatever shocks you end up buying.

When I took delivery of my 97 993TT last year, Porsche standard equipment shocks were replaced all round for I believe, £1000 UK sterling as part of the deal.
I thought this was reasonable enough. I can't comment on up-rated components - but I wanted to experience a standard 993TT before comtemplating any 'up-grade'.
Two comments;
the car was lethal/undriveable on worn shocks - skipped and tramlined all over the road.
The standard (new) shocks seem good to me - the 993TT outhandles my previous NA 993 which benefited from factory lowered MO30 option - but does not have the sheer chuckability or fluidity of the NA 993, being much more demanding to drive hard.
I do not track race the TT - and never will.
