Just picked up this TT
Hello all. I've had the itch for the TT lately and just picked up this silver/red '97 with 16,900 miles on it locally here in San Jose, CA from a dealer a few days ago. I'm still getting to know the car but it's been a lot of fun so far and has kept me smiling. First thing, I have to shop for some new wheels. The dealer wouldn't give me much for a trade on my Cab so I'll be selling that on my own. I'm new to the forum so I just signed up for my membership here and will be lurking to learn the ropes.

That is great... Congrats.. You'll have to stop by some weekend at RennTT Motorsports. You'll generally meet a LOT of other local folks with 993TTs and NA cars...
BTW Jeff, when are we going to put on your Cat bypass???

Nice one.
Like your ride height. Do you know what setting the pss9 are at?
Any problems with scrapping this black piece of plastic under the middle of the front on steep gateways?
What condition are the tail pipes from the fabspeed bypass? Can not figure it out on the pics. Still nice and clean?
Have fun.

Well, the car's going into the body shop this weekend to take care of my scratches and some other small repainting stuff.
What do you guys think.. I"m planning to doing a bunch of track events this year ( at least 6 ). Should I wait until after my track events to get my bumper, hood and driver quarter panel repainted? They both just have cosemetic damage ( aka scratches from flying asphalt.. )

Autobahn/Chris - I haven't taken any interior shots yet but I'll post when I do, and when I get the new wheels. I'm currently leaning toward the Fikse FM/10s and am thinking that I'll stick with the stock sizes.
Bob - I'll definitely stop by sometime. Where is your shop? I live in Campbell and work in Mountain View.
Stummel - There have been no issue with scraping so far but I haven't driven it much yet. The exhaust tips are discolored. I can post a pic if you like.
