Default if you odn't ask...

I have a pristine 16,8xx mile 97 C4s, nicely optioned (sport seats, etc). Is ther anyone out there with a driver tt with more miles, wel maintained, whod consider an even swap or my car plus some cash?

I figure it can't hurt to ask...

Thanks, and don't slam me!.

Only one billion?

Bob - I know the chances are about the same as winning the lottery, but why not ask? Seriously, I saw a tt in November with 45k miles, some road rash, needed a front respray. It was in reasonable shape mechanically, from what I could tell and from what the boys at EPE in Boston could tell, but at that time I was not quite ready, and needed to look more. Still pang for that pristine tt, you understand. Could have had that car for mine (through a broker - in fact, we may have PM's about this car) plus perhaps $1 or 2k, and that would have been kind to the seller, believe you me.

These things do exist, but, granted, they are not common.

We'll see, and I sure as hell won't hold my breath!

Happy New Year, all.

I was just browsing a little on autotrader this afternoon, and there's quite a selection of 1996 & 1997 turbos (including two "S" models). There are a few that have higher mileage, and seem properly priced. There are also a couple that have PSS-9s, and other nice upgrades.

It never hurts to ask, but the likely-hood of doing a swap is pretty slim. If you're serious, you'll probably have to analyze the market, sell your C4S, and wade in with a fistful of dollars. My 60,000-mile TT would be perfect for you, but its not for sale or trade. C4S are getting good money these days, and your low mileage example should be easy to sell. What colors? Post a picture.

Stedge,

Was that a black 96TT with PSS9s that you were looking at through Dave M.?

If you go back to EPE, tell Jerry I said hello....

Good luck with the search.

what a small world! I use to go to EPE all the time when Bill was still there... He then went on his own - Eurotech - If I remember correctly.

Those days in college ..........

Happy new year to you all!!
