Which tires (brand/size) do you prefer for the stock rims on a 97 TT?

I only know of 2 different tires
the Michilin pilot sports and
the Perilli P zero assemtrico N2's
There are others but thats what I got.
sizesfront I think these are stock numbers too(225/400
rear 285/30
I have the perillis.
Idont know enough about handling and grip yet.
I have only had mine for 4 mos.
I am trying to educate myself around the roads here
with a planned DE event this winter.

Paul... You are going to a DE??? Where and when? Maybe I can try and make it.. I'm an instructor, and I LOVE to scare students

And "I've only had mine for 4 months"... I had PSS9s, catbypass, sport mufflers, new turbos, large intercooler, 2 different computer programs, Pilot sport cups on 996TT wheels, short shifter, and other stuff I am forgetting in the first 2 months of ownership.. Come on and drive it like you want it..... Mods will come when you can, but drive it and learn it... You'll appreceiate the changes more in the future.

And Only1buck, I use Pilots on the street with 315s (11" 996TTs rear) and 235s on the front. For track, I was born in Indianapolis and I'm a HOOSIER!!!!

Bob, I havent got the nerve to ask my wife about the DE yet.
I just plan on going to one probably at Willow ill let you know fer
sure plus youll be able to tell when I start asking a gazillion ?'s.
My bday is in March I was thinking then sometime.
BTW I broached the subject about suspension and she went
ballistic, HOWEVER she did not hit scratch or threaten divorce
so I think I may be able to seduce..er.. convince her in the next couple
mos.
Steve I have not heard from JimBob in 2 days, go ahead and bring up
the tires!!

If performance is down on your list I have found SO3's to give good tread life and ride comfort. I just bought a car with SO2's and ride and handling are good.

I just got my 2004 PCA schedule. The next Streets Of Willow event is Jan 31-Feb 1.
Join me gentlemen?
Bob, they are looking for instructors......
Oh and I will probably run my P-Zeros 295/30/18 and 235/35/18 in an effort to GET RID OF THEM.
