Tour18,

Nice cars. Is that the 405HP Z06? Between the 993TT and the Z06 which car is faster(straight line) and which handles better? If you had to pick one which would it be? I am asking because those 2 cars are at the top of my list to buy.

Thanks.

Nice - Are you going to lower it? Speed mods? With the proper speed mods, the Z06 will be no match.

The wheels are chrome. They gotta' go. I like something like MSOBOTA's five spokes. Or maybe some Kinesis. Or maybe those cool black Techart five spokes...

The Z is absolutley bone stock. This is my second Z06. I had a 385 hp model and this is the 405 hp model. I think I prefered the first one. The suspension was a little stiffer, the clutch was harder to modulate, the exhuast was raspier, it shook at idle. There was a raw feeling about it like an old Kawasaki H1. The new Z06 is just sooooooo well sorted. A home run there...

Don't get me wrong the second iteration of the Z06 is bad ***. And fun.

Everyone is asking which is faster. The Z just flat out feels fast. It's big and solid and has a battleship feel to it. The TT is deceptively fast. It will go from 50 to 120 and you don't even feel it. Nothing. Smooth as silk.

At 120 in the Z you know you are going 120. At 120 in the TT, it's smooth like dream whip. The TT makes you want to just dial it up another notch.

Tour - I like your style! Nice cars. Hey, what is the little black one off on the side in the first two shots? You can just see the nose of it. Sort of an interesting shape.

Tour 18 is that Boxster yours?
Can you makes a comparo bettween the Boxster and 993TT regarding handling and balance at high speed and low speed curves?
I ask this because I´ve just sold my(300Hp) 3.4L powered Boxster and I´m going to buy a 993TT, but some how I´m afraid to be dessapointed with the 993TT understeer tendance. The Boxster was very balanced and it would face any mountain road like a go kart, just perfect, can I expect the same from the 993TT. Thanks in advance.

J.Seven,

I'm a TT newbie. So keep in mind I still have a TT grin on my face. Get the TT and you will never look back. If it is understeering, then you aren't in the throttle enough.

There is no comparison with the Boxster. The Boxster is perfect like a fine watch or a pair of paper thin gloves. It's fun to drive, but there is little grin factor in there. Now, this may be because I favor the Z06 for sheer entertainment...

The TT is a like, well, like nothing else on this planet (IMHO). Except maybe a Bf109K...
