I just signed up for the $32.00 membership. It was the least I could do to show my appreciation for this site.
I bought a 993tt on Friday, and because of information on Rennlist I have performed the following tasks with no other instruction, saving myself at least a couple of hundred dollars in 'new owner sucker charges' tomorrow morning. Not to mention absolutley freaking out when I had no manual or anything to deal with the problems caused my my ignorance.
1. Reset the ECU after an over zealous application of high pressure washer caused a "check engine light".
2. Reset my audio system after LOCKING the damn thing from requesting the security code. I had the owner card, but no idea of which buttons to push.
3. Tightened an oil line to the right turbo, immediately stopping a minor leak which I previously thought would definately require replacing the turbo.

Of all the Porsche sites, this is the only one where when I say my favorite Porsche (my first Porsche) is the 944, no one says "944, what's that?" .
Jeeze, some sites don't even have a category for anything other than 996's. Like there was no Porsche before the 996... Not even a slot for 917's, 956's and 962's! Or RUF! Can you imagine that???
