Default Do narrow body wheels (MY02) fit on a widebody 993?

Can anyone confirm if NB wheels will fit on a 993TT for temporary transport? I may need to drive a 993TT approx. 200miles and didn't want to use the worn 10+ year old tires that are on it currently. This is not for permanent fitment. Wheels I have with new tires are MY02 Carrera lightweights. I stole a pic of the wheels I have attached below (thanks goofballdeluxe!).

I believe the fronts are fine. The rears on the MY02's are 18x10 65 offset. Factory 993TT are 18x10 40 offset. Will 65 offset clear suspension and calipers?

You might need a spacer

Need info for without spacers. I believe the silver WB in the photo above is using spacers.

^^^^Yes, that's my car running OEM MY02's, running 32mm spacers in the rears only. I've had them on my car for close to 10 years with absolutely no problem

Do you recall if they fit without spacers? It may look a little funny with the wheels inset into the arch but will it clear brakes and suspension?

Sorry, I really cannot recall. I do recall we first tried small spacers and it cleared the brakes etc, but I can't remember if it would clear all the components with no spacers at all. I wanna say it does, but I cannot remember enough to tell you definitively.

Try a test fitment with one rear first. If you have some 5mm spacers laying around put them on. Slowly lower the jack and keep checking for clearance issues. Let us know know how it goes

They don't fit without spacers. I have a set of NB winter wheels and run them with 22MM spacers. They fit fine. spacers are cheap. Repairing your brakes and suspension- not so much.

These wheels go on NB cars without spacers, so they will fit on the rear of a WB car without. They will just look a little odd as they will not fill the fenders.

If it helps, I ran winter tires on 9" rears without spacers on my 4S for several winter seasons.
996 Carrera 2 - 9" ET 55 - part number 996.362.128.00
And trophy is correct - the car will not win any beauty contest.

I don't think that correlates with wide wheels fitting on the front or rear. I'm more concerned that the 10 inch wide NB rears will sit too far in and foul on the suspension. Spare donut is only a few inches wide, not 10 inches. If we take the analogy you suggest, it would mean I could fit the 10 inch wide rears on the front (which would be awesome BTW! )
