Default German pricing question

Hi Guys ,
Quick question for those who have purchased a car in Germany ; when dealers list their prices are these inclusive of VAT or do they list prices without them ? I'm trying to get a handle on some RS prices I've seen out there and the with / without VAT issue changes the final price fairly dramatically .
Thanks in advance .

They should list prices including VAT. In the few occasions they don't it will be written next to the price.

If you reside outside the EU, some vendors may ship to you for the net price excluding VAT. If in doubt, contact the seller.

^ Thanks guys - I know the VAT would be refunded to me as an export to the US - I'm just wondering if they generally include the VAT in their ads so I know what I'm dealing with . With what you've said I'll make my inquiry with '' these prices include VAT - correct ? '' right off the bat .

Yes vat is included... only commercial vehicles exclude vat in Europe but there are exceptions if the car was purchased and used by a business.
