Default Steering Rack Boots, bunched up?

Hello guys, this winter I installed, along with other front suspension pieces, the elephant racing bump steer tie rod kit. Last week I finally got it aligned, and today I was putting the front pan on, and noticed the boots that cover the tie rod ends, as they connect to the rack are bunched up and distorted almost as if they were being pinched by something? Tried pulling to straighten them out but luck. I thought of turning the wheel from side to side to see if they would free up but since it was up on the hoist I couldn't do that. And even if I did, whatever is causing this would probably just happen again. Any ideas?
Going to Elephant a call now and see what they have to say. Have any of you guys experienced this, who have use this kit? Thank you!!

Sounds like they got twisted when they adjusted your tie rods during alignment. Happened to me and ended up replacing the boots....about $6 ea.

It helps to put them on with lots of grease, then spin them a few times to ensure they are nice and slippery. Works for the stock tie rods and I'd imagine the Elephant's are similar.

You got it. Twisted boots. I called the alignment shop and ask if they had any idea, and he was very apologetic and said it must've happened while they were doing the adjustments, bring it back in and they would correct the situation. I pull out a grease on them but the factory boots are a lot more forgiving than the elephant boots.
Problem solved it almost record time, thanks guys

Glad it's all resolved and they were apologetic
