Default Refresh my memory.. OBDII Flag okay?

Is my OBDII ready for smog check? I think the green light means I'm good to go but the battery was dead and am double checking.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with that reader, but if you disconnected and re-connected a new battery, your readiness codes won't be set until you've completed a drive cycle. Not having any Check Engine Light codes (which may be what the green light is indicating) doesn't mean your readiness codes are set.

On the other hand, if your battery was nearly discharged, but remained connected, you may have had enough juice to keep the codes stored, but not enough juice to start the car.

If I recall, if you run the monitor and all of the code indicators are not flashing, i.e. solid, then the codes are set. If code indicators flash, they are not ready.

Yes, depending on the OBD2 reader.

Some put check marks in circles, or go from red to green dots...

It all depend on the OBD2 reader.
