It won't take long for most of us to figure out who you are referring to, a Sunland, CA business. It doesn't seem equitable or fair to imply they deal in stolen merchandise. Oh well, it's the internet, and it's apparently OK to libel a business with no hesitation.

Stolen goods show up in pawn shops across the country all the time even though most try hard to prevent it.

I also have no doubt that stolen car parts have appeared from time to time on national on-line auction sites too.

Let's not be naive.

Well no matter what everyone thinks of "Them in Sunland" things will be changing as "He" died today.
More details will be coming out soon...

Thanks,
Dave

We were looking to establish some new working capital relationships earlier this year before we had to start googling why these guys had suddenly stopped answering their phones.

Turns out Staten Island might come with a few caveats as well.

I was more thinking of Ted Varrick in No Man's Land when they only stole Porsche's

Wow this thread has lots of Inspector Jacques Clouseau's pointing fingers. You might send your thoughts to the LASD, LAPD,the one's with badges and the CHP. Oh wait, they have already have looked extensively at LA Parts Dismantler. And continue to do so. If you are worried do not use them or BH Porsche to have your car repaired and have good insurance.

As for stolen cars according to this article I would worry if I had a Honda or F-150

Get a Lowjack put car in a secure location and keep good insurance.

Parts recycler/dismantlers are high regulated when they are not an amateur eBay vendor.

Default Just had both side mirrors stolen (Caught on Video)

Normally car is in garage but was left in driveway geared up for early morning drive. Thief obviously didn't see the security camera (which unfortunately wasn't a deterrent). Was really surprised how easily the mirrors detached from the car. Anyone know what the cost is to replace?

Watch this POS take my mirrors... https://arlo.netgear.com/hmsweb/user...B89E6D2_201712

Wow! That's maddening. Any pics of damage to the sheetmetal as a result?

Not taking this off topic, but there's a bigger reason this BS occurs. There's no deterrent in CA. The most some mutant would get for this, is maybe a fine and some community "service". If they really wanna stick it to them, they'll tack on 90 days of probation. So if ya have no integrity, the deterrent isn't one, and ya reside in CA, have at it. :-(

John Esposito once told me how easy it was to do this to steal the mirrors. I had a hard time believing him. I guess he has had a lot of business in his shop for this exact issue. Sorry man.

Well, that totally sucks!

Consider taking the insurance money and installing these?
