There is a market for these!

I'm going to pass. I like the fact that alloy is sacrificial.

Not in black, only in raw titanium silver color.

What is the recommended torque if anti-seize paste is used with titanium nuts? Some sources say to reduce torque by 25%.

My best guess 'physical vapor disposition (PVD)' same as used on Ti watches for a black finish.
With the lack of info I don't think there are many lining up to be guinea pigs. Not even any photos. Pretty poor show.

Interesting comments on this thread. IMHO I applaud WM for their efforts to engineer a quality product based upon consumer feedback, needs and previous comments on the original launch of the Ti lugs. The price difference is insignificant in the overall scheme of what we are willing to spend on other quality bits that are not simply bling or functional utilitarianism and in this case possibility both. The list is endless. Ti is no doubt more durable than the OE Al ones, coating or not and it gives you that ability to start those conversations at the cars & coffee gatherings, "hey, you wouldn't know it but check this out..." Just say'n.

Nope. The durability is good peace of mind that the nuts won't shear off like aluminum can. As flyingchappy noted, we spend money on these cars for some silly things like wide oval exhaust tips, golden rods/short shifters, perforated pedals, etc.

I think the Tarett "bullet" style studs and nuts I went with were just over $400. Agree with Mark's point about durability and peace of mind.

Thanks guys, these products have been selling pretty well so it seems like a lot of our customers feel the same way.

Here are some pictures that I took of the black lug nuts for the 993. The are all grade 5 titanium and they have been approved for use in PCA. The factory lug nut is not PCA approved.

Very nice work! Those look excellent. I’d be interested to see the lug nut that was tested and how well it held up.

How often are people changing out wheels/tires? Are you using air tools? I have used multiple brands/types of lug nuts on many cars over the years- McGard, Gorilla, Project Kics, etc and never had issues with color chipping or the color coming off. I only use hand tools to remove/torque.
