Hi guys,

I can buy some Infinity 4622 CF (4 x 6 ) speakers from e-bay, according to the seller they will fit a Porsche, but the question is will the be a drop in replacement of my standard speakers? I would not like to cut holes in the hood rest.

Hi Joris,

I bought Boston Acoustics 4x6 speakers and that is the correct size for replacing the rear shelf speakers. It depends on the actual fixing pattern whether it is a straight drop-in, but mine were.

Note that original speakers in my car were crumbled to dust (three years ago) notably the front door speakers too. Alsjeblieft,

i replaced the rear with infiniti 4622 at a shop.
size is correct, but they had to "saw" quite laborously along the inside of the "eliptical rims" from the rear dash, in order for the speaker to be "sandwiched" nicely between the rim and the dash.

big sound quality improvement compared to the originals. hope this helps.
