Cool Vesuvius Metallic 993 C2S

I am feeling nostalgic... I had a beautiful 1997 C2S.... and I miss it...

Anyone knows how many of these beauties were made? How many made it to the USA? Where there is one for sale????

Here is a photo of my car (RIP):

This one I found on the web on another forum:

Another photo of the same car I found on the web:

Would be nice to know how many of these special editions were made...

Guau, Guau, Guau!!!!! I looked for one of those for months with no luck (I found 1 but I really did not want the aerokit) until I found my Arctic silver C2S which is beatiful; but my soul defenitely lusted for a vesuvio with red interior. Well, maybe somebody wants to trade?? My car is in superb condition with only 14 k miles!!!

After owning the 964 without any wings (spoilers) I have learn to appreciate the original lines of the car. In mi case I would take it with or without the Aerokit...

I saw one listed in either autotrader.com or cars.com last weekend. The car was in California.

Saw it... left vm to the owner and email (asking if the options were factory installed, vin number, if he had the original wheels, rear engine hood, additional details not listed in the ad)... no response so far (this was Saturday)

Thanks!

I've seen black in person and in many photos. I don't think this car is just black. It looks like a charcoal color. Or - bear with me on this - it looks like a brown totsie-pop when it's all shiny.

This must be some sort of rare color.... no?

It may be black metallic (P color code Z8), a special order color - or MAACO.

I understand, that's the first thing I looked at too. However, I can't count the number of times owners have listed their 993's as having a 'v6'
Thanks for the help...

PS If I were to go see this car, where would I look to find the paint name/code?

Under the front boot/trunk you should find all option codes, including the paint code, and often it's in the owner's manual - my options are listed there. There's an option decoder link on this site somewhere.

Good luck.
