Re: Kiln red, isn't that the standard background used for a LuxSport offering?

Default Pricing guidance on "Driver" 1996 993

Hi folks, thinking of selling my 1996 black on black 993 C2. Could use some feedback on pricing. The major details:

1. ~114k-mile California car. It's lived in Oakland, San Francisco and now Los Angeles. I haven't driven it nearly enough since I bought it (I think I got it with 88k miles), which is lame and part of the reason I'm selling (the other part is that living in central LA has taken most of the joy out of driving this car)
2. 2nd owner (think I've owned it since 2009)
3. The good: valve job/new clutch somewhere in the 80k-mile range (I have all paperwork going back to the car's original purchase having gotten all the 1st owner's records and kept my own since I purchased). Upgraded suspension sometime in the past 5 or 6 years (lowered, bilsteins, M030 springs). MY02 wheels (still have the cups as well, though they do have some rash on them that predates me). For the most part, whenever it's needed something, I've addressed it immediately (see "the bad" for one exception to this rule)
4. The so-so: paint's not perfect. When I bought it the 1st owner had left it outside and had visible damage so I had several panels resprayed when I first got it. And I haven't treated it like a garage queen since I've had it, though it is still looks nice. Interior is fine. No material issues. I've fantasized about redoing the seats, but that has so far remained a fantasy
5. The bad: a. 1st owner was in a front-end collision early in the car's life. Title is clean. Was repaired by a reputable shop (Hergesheimer Motor Sports in Orange County; https://www.hergesheimer.com/) where I still take the car for work to this day b. CCU is not functioning perfectly. When you hit the max AC button it doesn't stay at max blowing power. When you use the normal fan **** at high it works fine and I drove it this summer in 100-degree+ weather and it blows cold so I just haven't dealt with it yet

Of course if anyone's local in Socal and looking for a driver 993 message me. I'd be happy to take a drive to meet you somewhere and show it to you.

Thanks for any guidance on pricing.

Personally, I'd put it on BaT, where it will surely find a nice home at a fair price. What that price is, IDK, but I'd say you'd probably get in low- to mid-40s, perhaps a tad higher.

BAT is best place to list $40-45K easily.

HMHU, thanks for the feedback on price and on BAT. Will definitely list there if/when I decide to sell it, which is seeming more and more like when at this point.

Gbos, thanks for the feedback. Glad you think it has that kind of potential. Certainly makes the mental difficulty of selling it a bit easier if you can get a decent price for it.

Still looking for that 964 Targa. Can't find a decent one to save my life. Have PPI'd 3 of them this year alone, all lemons. If you have a lead let me know. Also if you ever want to let go of a 993TT send me a PM. That one is also on my bucket list..

This car has been for sale many times over the last year. It's not going anywhere anytime soon at that price or near that price.
