Here's a good example of a 993 that should be getting more interest than it seems to be. The seller is asking $105k which seems high for a NB even considering the mileage. They first listed it at $119,9 (LOL), bidding hit $61,2 last time they put it up. It's sitting at $50K on this current listing with a few hours to go. There ***might*** be a buyer somewhere looking to pay all the money +++ for a lightly optioned, ultra-low miles NB 993 in a common color, but that person probably isn't trolling ebay. I don't know why bidding hasn't been more active, it's certainly not a $50-60K car. IMO, the current market value on that car is mid $80s, maybe a bit lower. Somebody should have driven that poor car. |
I've been looking for a 993 C2 the last few weeks and it doesn't seem like the market has softened much.... maybe less cars are changing hands but the asking prices are still pretty strong.

The auction ended last night, and again the high bid was $61,2 The first time it reached that mark, there were five ebayers pushing the button When the second auction ended ten days later, there were only two interested parties bidding. If that seller lists a third time, that tells me that they likely do not understand supply/demand, pricing, and how to market a car. $0.02 |

Hey all, I'm trying as hard as I can to convince myself I don't need a 993 as I just took delivery of my 991.2 C4, but my resolve is weak. I'm setting up barriers that I hope are just about impossible to meet to help me sleep at night, as in I'm looking for THE right 993 for me and won't settle.
My criteria is C2 Coupe, 6 Speed, White on Black, with service records (for at least a little bit of peace of mind). If a West Coast car even better. I came across this example which is close to what I'm tentatively looking for, just wanted to get your guys' thoughts on condition/price etc of the car. Seems like some non-OEM modifications have been done to it whereas I was hoping for as close to stock as possible, but pickings are slim for these cars! http://www.netcarshowroom.com/vehicl...tx-id-18176847 Thanks guys Sammy |

Half of the owners kept it for under a year. Here's the listing for the previous sale https://www.vroom.com/cars_and_truck...supported=true Sold on Ebay for $56K in late 2015 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Porsche...p2047675.l2557 Appears that it was put up for auction in 2010, but did not sell http://www.silverauctions.com/auctio...07&lotid=26509 Too many owners, too high Ask. At least for me. |

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...l#post14315987 Well, for documentation's sake... it was a '98 Targa. White. With 40-50K miles and the Ask was just under $100K. Can't recall all the exact details. |

That's weird. The FS thread is now gone.

A little high on the mileage but very reasonably priced for a 98 C2S assuming no spotty accident history.

Depending on where you stand on the C4, this one could be a pretty good possibility.
I think it just came up for sale, as I've not come across is previously. http://www.leftcoastclassics.com/199...-993-c4-coupe/ '95 C4 in Polar over Grey. 56K miles. Ask $48,5 California car entire life. Clean Carfax, but paintwork on front is disclosed. The dealer posts an incredible number of pics. And a video. Yet no pic of the build sticker. LOL There is some question whether the 60K service was performed, or not. I don't call many cars a "Buy" but from the info presented, it certainly strikes me as one. Seems like you could have a lot of car for mid $40s. |
