I'm getting my Black Boot(as you see from the very top photo, it was Cashmere Beige) from the upholstery shop before the weekends...as he promised It's been 2 weeks now since If he don't get it done by this Friday, I'm giving it to my Harley Davidson Hide tech buddy. Maybe I'l get a turn around of ONE day I'll post a photo. Thanks for all the tips guys!!

David in LA, thanks for your suggestion. My office computer does not have the sizing capabilities so I emailed it to a friend who has the software and resized it for me. I need to get our office computer guy to load the software on my laptop.
Mike, I sure like this shifter and brake handle better than the original equipment. The new shifter makes me feel like I can drive faster by shifting more easily. Probably all mental though. My wife was all for the new equipment. BTW your car looks great with the shifter and can't wait to see pics of the boot.

Salty - No worries! Your interior looks good...I have the same shifter, ebrake and cupholder!
btw, a relatively cheap interior mod is to recover your door panel inserts in leater - mine were originally in tan vinyl which had a very cheap look...I removed and glued on black leather and it really sharpened the contrast of my interior.

Did the 996 style shifter/e-brake mod w/ parts from Gert 18 mo. ago and have been very pleased. Interesting comments re: steering wheel that came w/ our cars...I will agree that the newer 3-spoke wheels look better but I think that the 4-spoke actually feels better in the hands.

Carrera Mike, I am one lucky guy! Every time she would ride in the car she kept pointing out how bad the old gear shift and brake handle looked. So, I showed her the difference between Gerts goods and other less expensive goods. And she agreed that Gerts was better after showing her the less expensive alternative.
