Can somebody please give me some details on the Porsche Motor Sound Package option? Is this the factory equivalent to RSR exhaust? What hp gain does Stuttgart claim? What's the Porsche 993 driver opinion of how it sounds?

I believe the motor sound package is simply a different air cleaner housing
(drilled out stock one) and larger exhaust tips. If you enter "motor sound package" into the search feature(top rt corner) you'll have plenty of info on that upgrade.

As Kim noted, no HP gains. But, the sounds are great. The factory installed M159 option included different mufflers, a different air cleaner cover and chrome plated exhaust tips. Most aftermarket sales did not include the mufflers but one can always add the RSR's which are very similar in sound but slightly throatier.
