Wheel Purchase - Need Advice
Have a NB 95 C2. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of 4 BBS RS-GT wheels and Mich Pilot 2 tires. Here's the specs:
Front Wheel: 18x8 50mm backspace
Rear Wheel: 18x10 65mm Backspace
Front Tire: 225/40ZR18 (92Y)
Rear Tire: 265/35ZR18 (93Y)
Here's my concern. My car has been lowered somewhat. My research indicates that the rear wheel size is correct for the 993. The BBS wheels only come in a 18x8 with a 50 MM backspace for the front. Research also indicates that I need a 52MM backspace in the front. Can I run a 50MM backspace? Will the tire be futher in or out as a consequence? Appreciate the help.

First of all, this is not backspace. This is offset. They are disctinctly different things.
Secondly, 50mm will be perfectly fine for a front 18x8 wheel. The difference between 50 and 52mm offset is 2mm. That is about 1/12th of an inch. Will make absolutely no difference.
The offsets you are quoting above are positive offsets. That means that the smaller the number, the more "out" the face of the wheel is moved.

Check out this very useful article on wheel fitment and spacing - it should give you all the info that you're looking for on whether a certain tire/wheel will fit. Best of luck!

18/8 50mm front and 18/10 65mm rear is correct for 95NB. I had MY02s in the exact sizes which are shown in my photo. I have since changed to RUF wheels. I can send you better photos if you want them just PM me.
