IMHO/ The most logical advise we can learn from this thread is to upgrade to a REAL 993TT / but if you happen to drop on another segment of people who love their car and like proyects & deal with aftermarket providers, installation bla bla bla it would be a cool proyect. If a group buy would lower the cost about 30% I may be jumping in the sliiiiiipery slope.
How much time does it require to install one of these kits & how complicated would you consider this a DIY?

I order the kit in the morning. What I know so far: Kit will cost approx $7,000 and installation will cost $1,800. I am told that I will be without the car for 1 week, tops. And Dannyboy, I went and drove a 97TT two weeks ago; my car is 10x nicer! http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=19rxn36...&x=0&y=-84oo0e

Philip,
Gorgeous car!! What type of wheels are those? HRE's? Keep us updated, I also am on the edge of the slope and only need a small push before I start sliding.

In theory I agree, but in my part of the world an upgrade to a TT costs around £20K (~$30K) whereas I can get the TPC kit, and TT performance without the turbo lag, for a quarter of that amount!

Yes. I'm driving myself crazy! I'm still torn, having just driven a new TT, having read a dozen articles on the GT3 and liking what I'm hearing about the 997.

I've decided to give my brain a rest until the begining of the year. I'll keep the post updated.

Didn't Techart come out with a Supercharged model 993? I would buy a 993 C4S with a supercharger in a heartbeat! Like many others have said it's cheaper than the TT or conversion and the HP is just a small amount less than the TT with no lag. Let me know how it goes I think you will be happy with the end result. I have not heard of anyone that had problems with these setups.

Except for the goofy dimpled intakes for the oil coolers, that's a fine looking 993! Many of the "tuner" cars look a bit overdone for the street (in my ever so humble opinion), but that CT3 is sweet.

Yeah the holes seem like the stand out quite a bit but the camera angle is very low. If you see it in person you hardly notice them.

I'd love to see this more often.. in the UK it's quite rare to see a 993 on the roads and I love mine to bits - it's no queen though. Personally I can't see me being able to afford a true TT soon as I do not have a garage to keep her - but a supercharger - that's another story. Even £4k (UK) isn't that bad for nearly 400bhp. My Calibra turbo would need that sort of money invested for a reliable 400bhp and I know what I'd prefer to have it in.... anyone know of a UK supplier?
