Default engine cleaning

Seen a lot on the board so went and got some Swish AT30 cleaner to work on my engine cleaning regime. Wanted to know if anyone has used it elsewhere like wheels, wheel well undercarriage etc

Default Swish AT30 cleaner .... uses?

The Swish AT30 brand cleaner gets favorable marks for use on our undercarriage/chassis components ... but?

Can't chime in for use of the AT30 cleaner else where on the coupe. I have the cleaner on order, looking for its use with the upcoming spring chassis cleaning of 2 daily drivers.

I used Simple Green with great success on other cars.

I've read great reviews on AT30 but have never used this product. However I have tried several other brand of cleaners out there (Citrus Cleaner, Xenit, Purple Power to name a few), and some seem to work better than others. Most were recommended by members on this forum. So far nothing beats a $20 gallon of WD-40 and some brushes.

Supposedly what makes this product is the alkalinity of it around ph of 12. Water based too so thought it would not harm or discolor a varity of surfaces

I always thought it was used as a rust preventative when shipping cars overseas. My parents old '86 Audi 5000s had it, although it was bought in Holland.

Cosmoline.
Plus, there is a cosmoline remover as well.

I have both types (arerosol and liquid) of remover from cosmolinedirect. Both have mixed results when trying to remove 20 year old dirt impregnated caked on cosmoline. As posted here by Halfgerman, the purpose was to protect for overseas shipping.

I t does....makes things gummi and look like crap. Just kidding. It does prevent corrosion, but at times when servicing items, it's easier to remove the cosmoline as part of the cleaning process.

I tried to order some of the AT30 from the US supplier www.swishclean.com They want about $80 for a Pail and $238.83 for shipping. Total off 340.50. I know right. The reason for the high shipping is because it is a corrosive material they have to send it via Ross. There has to be a better way.

Looks like Swish is in NY and VT, I'm guessing you are not close?

Did a quick search on removal and mineral spirits were frequently mentioned.

Use the odorless mineral spirits and a brush - cleans things up well also.
