I recently bought from him. I'll shoot him a mail and see if he responds.

Some place in Germany makes a carbon fiber version of the pad keeper. I forget the name of it though.
Anyone remember?

Just so I'm clear, this is the foam pad above engine? If so, does replacement require an engin drop?

Look for the Winkel Dämm-Matte im Fahrzeug, 5th row, last photo, assuming my German is correct!

Yes if you were to replace the whole Pad. This is just for the PAD Keeper and can install in about 20min with not dropping the engine. It just keeps the old tired PAD in place.

I've installed one and I think it's great.

I heard back from David and this is what he had to say:

Of Course I'm always interested in "Group Buys".....:-)

But I think this one would be individuals ordering under a Group offer..? In the past, my group buys have been from on selected individual of a Group ordering, paying and receiving the shipment, and then distributing to those participating in the Buy......

I'm going to have to think about how to put it together... so that everyone comes out well..
Would someone be willing to lead the group buy?

I've also asked him if he'd consider letting individuals order and once the committed number of orders is in he could ship them all.

Well, I started this, so it's only right that I step up and take some type of lead role. However sending a check and then re-distributing to our group does not seem feasible. That is more suited for maybe a local PCA club.I envisioned this group buy as something very similar to the very successful Fabspeed sport cat group buy of 2016. Please have him consider the second option. Thanks

Having a lead person handle payments and shipments is not the best approach nor is it efficient in terms of shipping to the customers. The vendor should stipulate the minimum number of group buy orders and, of course, the amount including shipping. It will be up to us to determine if we can meet the minimum or if the discount is worth it.

If a lead person is required to handle payments, please PM me so I can have this group buy approved so that the buyers are protected.

Agreed. I asked him to consider the second option, I think it's better all around. Also asked him what discount he'd offer.

Please PM your email address to me and I'll connect you with David.

After that I can step out since I already have one and I'm not going to be involved in this group buy .
