They used these on the 964 turbo S as well taken from the 959 and were purely cosmetic. I think they look great but must increase drag.

I can imagine myself being lucky enough to have been ordering a brand new Turbo in 1997.....
Salesman: Sir, would you like for us to put two non-functional holes in your rear arches for a mere $7500?
Me: Why in the world would I want THAT?
That's the way my luck goes.

They were "standard" on the 993 Turbo S. No extra charge.

I'd figure out a way to make them functional. Get some extra air in there. :-)

For sure you can, there's some space to fabricate some ducts to make it go through the engine bay.

This only makes sense and guessing somebody has done this.

Crazy stuff but the original owner of my 94 turbo paid $7000 for the Exclusive CF dash to be added in 1995. If you had the money to buy these back then you had money to throw away I guess.

"A very beautiful and not inexpensive option".
Are you're referring to Gbos1's re-positioned avatar?
Let me say "thank you" right now every time Gbos1 replies to a post - please don't change your avatar.

I think if he EVER changes it (again), he needs to be banned, until he comes to his senses. At that point (when she's back) we'll welcome him back, with open arms. :-)
