1996 993 Alarm non opp? Starter not working
Hello I have a flip key for my 993 and will no start car?
Changed bettery in key>>>> red light is bright but still no starter.
All the lights come on with key just will not work starter?
Dealer has no clue?????
Any help would be great to get my car started and not just a silver lump
in driveway.

Two possible things:
1) Battery problem of some kind: bad battery, dirty corroded connections.
2) Active Immobilizer caused by the inability to disarm it. (see #1)
I would test the battery voltages at the terminals and if its less than 12.66 VDC, I would put it on a charger for 12 hours. If the battery is 4 years old or more, I would consider replacing it.
Clean the battery posts and clamps while you are at it.
