Steve's LWF chip raises the idle speed, but not that high. Have you driven the car or is that the idle immediately after installing the chip?

My previous MY95 with LFW idled at around 950 rpm with the older Steve Wong chip. Did you recently buy this brand new?

From another thread regarding the installation of a Steve Wong chip:

1. Turn key to on (but not start engine) for 3 minutes
2. Turn engine and let idle for 3 minutes
3. Perform 3 cold starts.
4. End

Interesting.
FWIW, I bought the recent version of the Wong chip for my 964 about 6 months ago. It also has RS clutch/LWF setup. However the idle didn't change from stock. I questioned Steve as I thought idle should have been higher. Steve said the newer chip is remapped not to stall yet idle will remain unchanged. So far, the car has performed flawlessly!

Maybe someone adjusted the ICV at some point causing the higher idle? Check and see if the glue seal has been broken.
