Yeah i watched that last month! It was very good information. They said that the 993 turbo has anti lock braking assistance to help if a tire is about to slip it would apply braking power on the one wheel even under acceleration? Is that true??? And also it applies more power to the front wheels if the rear is slipping and vice versa. Is that also true for teh awd 993's?

I have this program on DVD, purchased it two years ago from the Discovery Channel website, and it is awesome on home theatre! Good footage of a 993 Twin Turbo, a Ferrari F50, and a Callaway Corvette (C4-based) running through mountain passes, as well as interviews of Porsche's chief engineer and Ferrari's president Luca di Montezemolo. Slickly produced.

Thanks so much for this. I had it on tape from a couple of years ago. TLC did it and called it 'Need for Speed.' The tape broke about a year ago-this was one of my favorites.
Reeves Callaway is pretty articulate also.
Jay Leno says 'Porsch'.
Thanks Carrera Mike.

You are all welcome. It's my pleasure.
I had to fight the wife with the cable(since I only have it hooked up to the living room tv). I messed up the first attemp to record it at 2PM, so at 5PM, thats when the wife's fave TV show was on Of course she's nice enough to let me have the time slot //Of course for me, eveyrthing stops when they're showing autophiles like that. Nobody can talk to me for that whole hour

It was titled "Fast Cars, The Power and Passion". It was about how Porsche and Ferrari are in the Pinacle of sports cars, how they do it and how Corvette Callaway is trying to get there. I don't see them scheduling it in the near future I think they only show "Autophiles every Sat & Sun.
But I did find these:

I emailed customer_care@discovery.com about this--here is their reply, which I thought you'd like to see:
"Thank you for your recent correspondence.
"Unfortunately, "Fast Cars: The Power and the Passion" is not available on
either video or DVD. However, should you wish to record the program
yourself, there will be re-airings on the Home and Leisure Channel, under
the listing The Autophiles, at the times and dates listed below. Please
be aware that these listings are Eastern Standard Time and may need to be adjusted for your particular time zone.
Saturday 12/6/03 10pm and later that night at 1am
Sunday 12/7/03 6am, 9am, 2pm and 5pm"
