I went through this recently (this summer), what a pain. Had the cables replaced, the motor and drainage tracks/tubes as well. $1800 all in, I think, happy to have it done though. Tubes were all clogged with mud and grease, explained why I had a small leak every once in a while when it rained. All sorted now! But still hurt the old pocketbook.

Got my front windscreen seal done as well, guys were able to save the windscreen and no rust found!
