Default Electrics - what is the current rating on the battery cable?

I'm interested in the wiring - what is the current rating required on the battery cable for the 993?

There seem to be two types made by electrical specialists - either a Current Rating of 170 Amps or 260 amp.

Which is 'correct' for the 993?

Thanks!

Interesting question. I would measure the gauge of your existing wire and that will drive the load rating.
Gauge and wire diameter and amp rating charts are readily available if you Google the subject.

Most of the battery cables I see are 1/0 cables.

See summit racing offerings below:

As pp830 suggested, measure the cable. Call the dealer and ask them what is the standard cable size. The size and material are the key parameters. If it is 1/0, the current rating varies between 150 and 170 amps for copper cable depending on the insulation. The important thing is the cable should never be the weakest part of the system from an amperage standpoint.
