Default Yokohama S drive

Discount Tire was suggesting Yoko S Drive. Haven't heard of them and search on mobile isn't being friendly. Any thoughts?

Street tire, 3 season, bumpy roads and spirited driving.

I used them once, and was pleased with how they worked, for a lesser tire. About middle of the road.

I had them on a low mileage E36 BMW and while they were fairly good, at first, after a few thousand miles on them, they became outrageously noisy.

Not a good tire. Blah.

Why not get a Toyo R1R, for example?

Good choice, big difference in grip.

I put a set on my daughter's Jetta. Year 3, maybe after 10,000 miles (urban driver - low use), she experienced a tread separation on a rear tire. Scary experience on the freeway but safe outcome. Replaced S Drive with Continentals.

They were on a MINI GP we purchased and they were horrible, noisy, mediocre grip. Changed them out to Hankook V12 EVO's which are a much better tire for the money without breaking the bank.
