I share Lee's concern about road conditions. Rain expected Friday and Saturday which will wash debris onto to roads. Increased potential for rock chips for all but the lead car

Looks like we may have a nice day on Sunday. Rain is expected to end mid Saturday. We will have to watch out for debris but that's what Fred and the talkabouts are for!

Anyone know the approximate drive time from palm springs to rendezvous point 11/9 on clear roads?- I'd love to go along. Thanks

I'll try to attend this event, and get to meet 993 owners. Would love to hear ownership experiences with this model, as I like this iteration of the 911 (as well as the 86-89 models). Hopefully I can keep up; planning to use the 944 Turbo.

Of course, I don't drive the posted speeds - best time was in a Ford Taurus, of all cars. You can stay on the 10 until it turns into PCH and then continue until Sunset Blvd.

Actually the 10 will turn into the 101 as you enter downtown LA. You will then need to take the 110 South for a few miles and then transition back to the 10 West. This 10 West will turn into PCH.
Actually, I am on your route in so you can call me on my cell as you are approaching the 605 Freeway and I can meet you on the 10 freeway before downtown LA. I've done Monterey Park to Desert Hot Springs in a little over an hour if that helps with your departure time. If you can time it to make our rendezvous at 620a, we will roll into Von's at 650a. I will PM my cell phone to you. See you Sunday.
