Value Check
New guy here, wanted to query the forum about a car my brother-in-law is considering in California:
http://cprclassic.com/porsche911/2211/index.php
Looks like a really nice car, heated seats, litronics, everything original except for an upgraded suspension -- Bilstein shocks, M030 sway bars, strut brace.
Dealer wants low 60s for it, I know he has nice cars but based on the sales thread this seems a bit high.

If you consider a nice low mileage NB 993's can get into the $50k range, do you value a WB as a $10k-14k upgrade? (Without knowing the "low 60's" actual number)
Just a question you should ask yourself...
That kinda scratch can make a lot of improvements/upgrades to a decent NB car with the same mileage. Especially if you're a DIY kinda guy; not to mention the fun factor!

I know the owner and operations manager, and if you have never been to the shop, it's like Disneyland for older Porsches (mostly 356, early 911). But you need to get a PPI and inspect personally. Ask for a Rennfax on a new thread.

At a minimum, the decklid gaps are off. I'd say it's seen the inside of a bodyshop, despite the seller's insistence that the car "retains all of its factory original paint with virtually no rock chips anywhere."

Carfax is completely clean, one owner since new, of course I guess it is possible some shops don't report to CarFax or whatever.
