Default help with speakers upgrade

has any fellow rennlister installed these?

I wanna make sure they will fit before I buy them online.

I have the stock 5.25" front, NO hi-fi option.

any comments will be much appreciated!


Front:

Looks like it would fit with no problems, you might be able to reuse factory grills on the 4x6 (just flip the trim ring upside down and mount on top of the speaker).

What are you going to do with the stock tweeters and pods? With that set-up they are integrated in the 6.5''

the old parts i suppose will just disconnect them but leave them there... they dont sound normal anymore.

If you get separate tweeters you can place them inside the stock pod like I did with my JL's.

I am going to do a write-up on it and I'll post the link if your interested.
