Refinished Seats (Wow) Now I need some part number help
Trying to resote a properly used 993 C2S from this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...?highlight=nip
The paint looks better than new so I am off to the interior which has been beat up by the sun. I was all ready to refinish my seats like another lister did, but just paid a pro to do it to save time (and probably money too). Here are the before shots:
Oh the horror
And after:
I was ready to kiss the guy when I saw him, they looked brand new and did not have that painted on look that I saw in refinished seats from years ago. Local shop here in Philly Burbs http://fibrenew.com/mainline
Now for the help part of this. Although the leather on the seats is now back to looking good, just about every non-metallic part on the seat motor rail screw assembly has, as Edd China would say, perished. There are crumbles of what I guess at one time were bushings or retention grommets. The main issue is that the seat inches forward on breaking and backwards on acceleration by about an inch or so. Below is a pic of the front of the seat, circled in red where the play is. It is much worse on the other side. It appears that I could just put some additional washers in to stop it from moving, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the rails and mechanism.
I searched on pelican for the parts, but they really do not have all that much for seat parts. I was hoping someone here could help me out with either some part numbers for the bits I need or some help in figuring out how to remove these rails and just add some washers. P.S. these things weigh a ton.
Sorry for the War and Peace write up.

Sorry I can't speak for other Franchises - They decide their price to the Market but I can tell you one thing for sure -- Its way way cheaper than replacement - Even from a breaker
You can submit photos and request a quote on line - You don't even have to do that old fashioned "talking"

ps
Most Franchises have before and after photos of their own work - So you can get comfortable with making the decision - They also have testimonials from customers
Just For example only ( I will be adding the C2S photos soon)

The Fibrenew franchisee around me (Sacramento area) melted a hole in my Mercedes vinyl seat, then just left me hanging.
Be sure to vet your individual franchisee, and make sure they have some real experience. I could tell mine was brand new to this and I paid the price.

The seat drawings and part numbers are in a master seat only Porsche catalog. It is available online as a pdf. http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf...TZ_KATALOG.pdf
You may have more success finding a used seat mechanism from a salvage yard. I suspect most 944/924s/911/964/993 all use the same parts.
