Default Gratuitous photos and new CA black plate

Finally finished the delayed fluid change project with a quick buff. Installed the RS steering wheel to replace the Momo Mod 07. To celebrate Le Mans 18th, took the Hippo out for a spin. Nice day in Sonoma County. Thanks!

I drove mine today as well. So Cal! Although it shouldn't have NOT been a 1st place finish @ Le Mans. Oh well, Porsche more reliable than Toyota

And that's why it's not the 23 hours, 26 minutes and 30 seconds of Le Mans. :-D

How long did it take for the plates to come to DMV after ordering?

uh...yes indeed. IIRC wouldn't Porsche have won in 2014, their first year back, if the car hadn't quit on webber, with less than an hour to go?!?!?

Hey Don,

Great looking car! Congrats on the build.

I see you've painted your black rubber bumpers. I'd like to do the same, but two body shops have said it won't have a good finish and won't last due to flexing. I see quite a few 993's with them painted. Any advice on painting them from your experience?

Thanks,

Thanks!

To be clear, this is a 10 foot car. Looks great at screen resolution. She's a track beast that I can drive with impunity.

I used SEM flexible bumper paint after proper prep (products from an automotive paint supply store). They are lasting okay, but are not a perfect match for the color. But that's okay, the car is painted in three shades of Grand Prix white (seriously)!

Looking great! From the car's stance, the b/w contrast, to the entire package....very nice!

BTW, may I ask you what did you paint your bumperettes with? I was thinking of doing this years ago but didn't want to roll the dice on longevity as peeling red would look far worse than the stock black. How long have you had yours painted?

Edward
