Greetings All
I finally got my 993 cab back from the autobody shop after encountering a deer this last fall. As fate would have it , the last hour of 29 hour road trip to Rennsport Reunion V I met up with a deer.
While in the shop I installed a modified Boxster rollbar. I've been looking at the current assortment of rollbar choices and did not like what was available, so decided to try the Boxster route. This setup cost $900 ( $150 for used rollbar + $750 for mod and powder coat.)2016-06-18 10.30.38.jpg

I hear ya! $25 - $30k will buy you a handmade piece of history, sans the HRC go fast kit.
Today's box stock 600 makes more hp, and would most likely out run the RC30 on a track...
That little grey market VFR400R, was just a ball in the corners on the twisties. I was amazed at how much corner speed I could carry! Many mistook the bike for an RC30!
+1 on the Boxster wind deflectors, they do work and would really complete the look.
