Default AirKnockers

Greetings All
I finally got my 993 cab back from the autobody shop after encountering a deer this last fall. As fate would have it , the last hour of 29 hour road trip to Rennsport Reunion V I met up with a deer.
While in the shop I installed a modified Boxster rollbar. I've been looking at the current assortment of rollbar choices and did not like what was available, so decided to try the Boxster route. This setup cost $900 ( $150 for used rollbar + $750 for mod and powder coat.)2016-06-18 10.30.38.jpg

Funny you mention this... I had a deer jump across the front of my hood while I was driving roughly 25-30mph. This deer cleared my entire car. The mental Polaroid is amazing.

I hate stinkin kamikaze deer...

I banged bambi with a little jewel of a motorcycle; a VFR400R, which is a baby 400cc V-4 version of the handbuilt 750 cc V-4 RC-30 race bike! See Freddie Spencer.

Stupid effin deer!

The roll bar looks good. What needed modified? Is it a bolt in?

VFR brings back memories! Sweet bike and oh what I would give to have an RC30 or 45.

The shop that did the rollbar had to cut the anchor points and modify so that they bolted into the seatbelt anchor points. Surprised me how well it fit and looks OEM.

Completely missed the pooch until you said that.

Roll bar looks good. Get the Boxster wind deflectors too? (Center and sides). They made a huge difference on my old Boxster.

Bill,
I hear ya! $25 - $30k will buy you a handmade piece of history, sans the HRC go fast kit.

Today's box stock 600 makes more hp, and would most likely out run the RC30 on a track...

That little grey market VFR400R, was just a ball in the corners on the twisties. I was amazed at how much corner speed I could carry! Many mistook the bike for an RC30!

That dog is a photo bomb pro!

+1 on the Boxster wind deflectors, they do work and would really complete the look.
