Price check: High miles 1996 C4S coupe
Would love to hear some thoughts regarding the price of this beauty:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...-/162095249598
I've been looking for an Arena Red 993 for a few months, and I'm starting to get familiar with prices, I just don't know how to factor in the high miles.

Local Canadian car but ships from NY?
Maintenance and PPI is a must. Most issues should be addressed by now with upgrades. Upgrades do not add dollar value. It makes the car more appealing to a buyer over a lower mile car without issues addressed.

leave aside canadian/us issue and import duty required, i feel at 132k miles ppi would need to check out very very clean with virtually no engine compression/seepage/sai/obd2 issues to justify the asking price...96 cars are the hardest to pass usa smog testing and their ecu's are hardest to 'massage' to meet current regs if that need arises
photos are small on ebay ad, but also looks like there is also headliner sag as well as wear on driver side seat bolster...
this all being said, arena red with nice twists are a beautiful combo

I'd jump on it. Drive it and mentally budget for some top end work...but you may not need anything.
Does
You could get a PPI and get comp/leakdown results, and check the emissions system to make sure the SAI ports aren't all plugged up.
New York state for 1996 and newer model years is strictly an OBD II inspection. As long as the monitors will set you should be good to go.
How frequently do Arena Red C4S 993s become available?

mid fifties i'd say is my 2 cents and thats best case scenario with a clean bill of health…. saw a c4s with slightly under 100k recently sold for under 60k. The bubble for these higher mileage cars I believe has popped

The AC compressor isn't hooked up and looks like it is in bad shape. There's got to be a story with this car.
I'd recommend running your own carfax in addition to doing the PPI
