Anyone know if any vendor makes a steel mesh grill for the TT nose (all 3 grills)? If not, has anyone done a DIY with mesh from Home Depot? I know, I know...could look kind of ricer but I'm not yet commiting to doing it.

If you go from a narrow body to a TT nose (Euro or US) the front fender liners are different. If they're not replaced w/the matching liners you lose a mounting point near the bottom front of the liner. There's no problem for "normal" driving, but I've found that somewhere above 100 mph the liner is blown out & protrudes about 1/2" at its bottom front end. I expect it'll be an easy fix to make a secure mount, but I haven't done it yet. I'll post when I do. For now, I just push it back in place as needed.

Yeap, you need to secure the bottom part or else you'll tear apart the fender liners going at high speed. You can make your own mount or as Dan said, replace the liner which what I end up doing.

Dan,
The mesh grill would be pretty easy to install on the front bumper. I just installed a mesh grill (yes from Home Depot) on the top of the rear spoiler as the new intercooler gave me no option. Here is a picture:

I used a combination of panel adhesive, and bolts held in place with panel adhesive. On the front bumper, I would just use the adhesive to glue in some bolts, and then use nuts with fender washer to keep the grill in place (after you paint the grill flat black). The bolts would be outside the clips for the stock grills so you could go back to it at anytime. The panel adhesive dries like a rock in an hour, so the front bumper project should only take you an afternoon to complete.
Good Luck
