Default OT - Great Experience With Classic 9 Leather Shop

The thread link below contains all the pictures & details. Just thought I'd give C9 some praise here as I know a lot of 993 owners consider having leather interior work done. Bob & Rod were a pleasure to deal with & I plan on having them do the interior of my 67 this coming winter.

That is a great looking 44 Nick. Would love to eat an ice cream cone with sprinkles in there!

Your 951 is awesome! I'm on the hunt for one myself...there are very few options out there.

Thanks for the tip on Classic 9 - some of the samples I've looked at would definitely benefit from a dash and seat recover!

Were you at the Porsche corral parking at the Detroit Grand Prix this past weekend? I thought I remember seeing this car there.

Bob did my US Navy tartan interior. It wasn't cheap but I knew that going in. Thumbs up for Classic 9. --Michael

Bob makes re-doing (i.e. mods) fun for a "1" on the DIY-scale. I like C9 a lot!

Thank you. Good luck with your search - nice ones are definitely out there but you need to weed through a lot of tired ones to find them. A well modified/tuned 951 is an incredibly fun car to drive - very comfortable also.

Wasn't me - I was lounging on the boat.

Nick,
I was up there dropping off some seats for a friend a few weeks ago and saw your 951. Wish I would have known it was yours! Beautiful! Also kudos to classic 9. The die my upper and lower dash, shifter console, front and rear door and side panels and rear panel in leather. Looks great! I still need to get those seats from you though

Classic 9 did a fantastic job.

You mentioned that you'd use 303 on the dash to protect from UV, etc. Is the leather that C9 uses coated/sealed leather? The Aerospace 303 people say it is fine to use on leather but only coated leather (which is pretty much what all the automakers use these days but not sure about restoration shops).

The bad thing about coated leather is that it doesn't breathe. That's one of the best things about leather!
Good for stains and spots which is why all the manufacturers are using it.

Be certain before you apply.
