Shift Boot for a Tip DIY
#17
Thanks to all the previous contributors for this great idea. I always thought the tip lever and gate looked a bit cheap.
I managed to get a used gaiter from a Porsche breaker for GBP30 - Porsche UK wanted GBP120 for a new one!
He's a photo of it (assuming the attachment gets attached!).

I've been wanting to do this for a while and I finally found the leather boot at a reasonable price...and here is a picture (a little dark). I really like the 'plush' appearance of the leather compared to the plastic shift gate.

Please don't get mad at me for this, but I'm wondering why you guys like the boot look? (not that I don't)
I thought about this mob, but was concerned it may appear too "poser"'ish.
And doesn't this confuse the vallet guys?
I recently decided to go with alum look shift gate, brake tray and swith surrounds. It's not finished yet, but I'll post pics if you guys aren't too pissed at me.
s2racer - how do you release the shift **** without a button? That looks very cool without the button on top.

And a valet will never see the inside of the 993 so that's not a problem.

I've also wondered why other car type are looked down on when they use more modern model parts to make their cars look newer but It seem accetable on p-cars. BTW I'm also adding a turb wing to my c2.
